“ Excellent portions for the prices charged. Food isn't spectacular, but it is solid. I'd stay away from the plates such as rolled tacos, tostadas, and enchiladas. But there are good alternatives such as carnitas. Carne asada can be a little chewy. Service is often a little chaotic but the people who work here are really nice. The Everyday Specials are hard to beat for the price. ”
“ This place is absolutely amazing! I stoped in for a quick bite at lunch and ordered a breakfast burrito and it was absolutely amazing! It was so big I was full for the rest of the day and didn't even eat dinner that night. The bacon tasted amazing the eggs were fresh and potato's were soft. I can't stand when places use French fries in there breakfast burritos and this place does not. As I was sitting there and enjoying the clean nice and authentic ambience I noticed how big all of the portions were on everyone else's plates. I noticed a lot of people were ordering the different types of soups they had and the owner said that they make quiet a few different kinds. The owner came out and greeted me, asked how everything was and make sure to shake my hand before I left. I felt special, but I noticed he was doing that to everybody can't wait to come back and try the rest of the food! ”

“ Best Mexican food in Escondido! We stopped by after visiting the san diego safari park and we were impressed with the food portions, quality of the dishes and cleanliness of the establishment. We were a group of 7 and they were able to accommodate us with no reservations. Hands down the best menudo, carne asada and lengua tacos! We will definitely come back. ”

“ I always get their caldo de rez when I'm sick with the flu. It feels like something my tia made before she passed, and it's always made perfectly (I've come here for it like 10+ times). As for the other food, I can't speak for - but a friend I took here really loved their enchilada plate. If you sit inside to eat, the chairs are really cool looking, and the design is pretty authentic. There's ample parking behind the building, so you don't have to worry about it when you get here! ”
“ Their Carne Asada and Al Pastor meats are very strongly seasoned with traditional spices, featuring great flavor and just enough nice crispy bits. Their tacos are the large size with ample meat, of which the percentage of gristle is acceptably low. The only salsas are two bottled reds, and one very smoky tasting medium hot red served with the free chips. It's a table service place with nice decor and the service is very good, but when done you have to go to the counter to pay. If Yelp allowed decimals, I'd give it a 4.3. ”
“ Ok let me start with the portions, the chef is not stingy the plate portions are big I feel like two people can eat off one plate. They start you off with chips and salsa, and we got some micheladas that were not the best, but the food is a reason to return. The music is vibing with the food, staff was super friendly always asking if we needed anything else. The place inside reminds me of restaurants in Mazatlán, I would definitely recommend this place. The fish I got was delicious but the costa azul shrimp was amazing, definitely a place that hits the spot. ”
